I get what you’re saying, but if you need to counteract the movement to make it fluid and well balanced then you probably have to sacrifice something. Like ya face! Haha. I pump and scan my Thai kicks (or roundhouse if that’s what you call them) and I figure if that’s how the top strikers do it then imma probably be okay.
Do you keep both hands front and centre?
I’m with him, because i’ve been hit in the head too many times. My left hand makes a small motion outwards by maybe an inch during the start but then pulls back. You’ve probably noticed that my style is pretty defensive - unfortunately the majority of my fights in the street have been 1 vs n, and I’d rather play safe than leave my head unguarded from the off side!
